Engagement overview

Axiom Telecom sought to establish a scalable technology foundation for its next-generation distribution platform as it expanded across multiple supply chains. The organization required an automated, repeatable approach to provisioning cloud infrastructure that reduced manual effort, ensured consistency across environments, and simplified infrastructure management.

TO THE NEW worked with Axiom Telecom to implement an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) framework on AWS, enabling standardized infrastructure provisioning, faster deployments, and improved operational efficiency across cloud environments.

UAE

Founded in 1997, Axiom Telecom is one of the Middle East's largest distributors and retailers of global telecom brands. The organization operates across wholesale, retail, value-added services, and after-sales support, with a significant presence across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As part of its digital transformation initiatives, the company sought to strengthen its distribution ecosystem through a modern, cloud-based technology platform.

Business objective

The engagement focused on creating a scalable and automated infrastructure foundation to support the client's next-generation distribution platform.

01

Automate infrastructure provisioning to reduce deployment time and manual effort

02

Standardize infrastructure configurations across development, staging, and production environments

03

Enable rapid provisioning of on-demand environments for development and testing

04

Minimize operational risk through version-controlled infrastructure management

05

Support scalable cloud infrastructure capable of adapting to evolving business requirements

06

Maintain consistent and recoverable infrastructure states across deployments

Business solution

TO THE NEW collaborated with the client to establish an Infrastructure as Code framework that automated infrastructure provisioning and standardized cloud operations across AWS.

  • Implemented Terraform workspaces to manage infrastructure consistently across multiple environments

  • Configured environment-specific deployments using shared infrastructure code

  • Validated infrastructure changes before deployment using Terraform planning

  • Retrieved environment-specific infrastructure credentials securely through AWS Secrets Manager

  • Automated provisioning of core AWS infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, databases, and Kubernetes services

  • Automated network provisioning for subnets, routing, NAT gateways, and related infrastructure components

  • Integrated Ansible with Terraform local-exec provisioners to configure provisioned resources

  • Automated installation of Kubernetes tools including Kong, Istio, Fluent Bit, kube2iam, and supporting services

  • Configured Terraform state storage using Amazon S3 for centralized infrastructure state management

  • Established Terraform state locking with Amazon DynamoDB to protect infrastructure consistency

  • Generated dynamic Ansible inventories and configuration files using Terraform resources

Business impact
