Engagement overview
HBF, one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit health insurers, set out to strengthen its analytics foundation to support enterprise reporting and decision-making more effectively. With close to one million members and a broad portfolio of insurance products, its data environment evolved, with multiple data marts and varying levels of consistency in data models.
Working alongside HBF’s teams, TO THE NEW supported the modernization of its legacy data architecture using Snowflake and structured data modeling practices. The initiative focused on simplifying the existing data landscape, introducing clearer data lineage and validation processes, and creating a more reliable analytics foundation. As a result, HBF gained improved scalability, more consistent reporting, and greater access to self-service insights through Tableau.
