TO THE NEW and CloudKeeper have appointed Somnath Adak as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 30 September 2026. Singapore-headquartered, TO THE NEW and CloudKeeper are affiliate entities under common ownership.
Based in Singapore, Adak will oversee the finance and legal functions across the group’s operations in Singapore, India, the US, the UK, the UAE and Australia. He will work with the boards and leadership teams of both companies on finance strategy and the group’s legal structure.
Adak brings around two decades of experience across finance, strategy and business leadership in India, Australia and Singapore.
Before joining TO THE NEW, he spent nine years with Singapore-listed Asian Pay Television Trust (APTT), including two years as Chief Executive Officer and seven years as CFO. During his tenure, he worked with the board on debt reduction, balance-sheet management and the expansion of APTT’s broadband business.
Earlier, Adak held leadership positions at Macquarie, ITC and Grant Thornton. He is a Chartered Accountant and former Chairman of the ICAI Singapore Chapter. He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and is a Distinguished Alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce.

In his role as Group CFO, Adak will lead finance and legal functions across the two businesses and their international operations. Adak said he would focus on strengthening finance and legal functions as strategic and technology-enabled functions supporting business decision-making.
TO THE NEW is headquartered in Singapore and operates across India, the US, the UAE and Australia. CloudKeeper operates in the cloud cost optimisation segment.
